Teaching

My main teaching objectives are to increase students' interest in psychological science and confidence in their ability to learn. First, I create a comfortable environment in the classroom. Then, I actively engage students in psychology by encouraging them to apply the course material to their own lives and instilling in them an appreciation of psychological research.

I regularly teach Research Methods, Social Psychology, and Principles of Psychology, occassionally online. I also teach advanced seminars, such as Stereotyping and Prejudice and New Science of the Unconscious, which applies the basic concepts of automaticity and the unconscious to real world issues such as elections, consumer behavior, and hiring discrimination.
